Kyle Olson, P.E.
Senior Structural Engineer

Kyle is the Senior Structural Engineer for Foundation Supportworks. Kyle’s focus is on the design, detailing, testing and evaluation of our products. He provides technical support to our installing contractors and is often involved in the analysis and design of specialty brackets and connections. Kyle assists with the preparation of technical documents and marketing materials, and with the development of sales and design-based software.

Kyle is a 1996 graduate of North Dakota State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. In his 12 years as a project engineer, Kyle designed building structures with a variety of materials including steel, concrete and timber. Impressive to his resume is his design experience with cranes, mooring systems and other types of heavy lifting equipment. Kyle is a licensed professional engineer in Minnesota and Nebraska.

In 2006-2007, Kyle consulted with a committee of helical pile manufacturers that assisted the International Code Council (ICC) in the development of the acceptance criteria for helical foundation systems and devices (AC358). Kyle was then hired by Foundation Supportworks in April 2008. He is currently a member of two committees comprised of helical pile manufacturers to propose revisions to the acceptance criteria as well as sections of the International Building Code pertaining to helical piles.

Kyle and his wife, Heather, have two children, Jack and Ashlyn.
