Stabilizing Historic Home's Crawl Space in Interlachen, Florida
Elizabeth R. in Interlachen, Florida, requested LRE Foundation Repair to inspect her recently purchased historic home, experiencing sloping and instability in the floors. An LRE Design Specialist performed a full inspection of the home's crawl space and identified deterioration in the floor joists and piers brought on by age and soil settlement. The LRE team installed a series of SmartJacks in the crawl space, effectively lifting and stabilizing the floors above. With the foundation now permanently stabilized, Elizabeth and her family can enjoy living safely in their newly restored historic home.

Pool Deck Releveling in Ormond Beach, FL
Robert B. of Ormond Beach, Florida called LRE Foundation Repair after growing concerned about large cracks forming in his pool deck. LRE completed an inspection of the property only to discover large voids had formed underground where armadillos had previously dug their dens. LRE formulated a plan to remedy the unstable soil situation by using PolyLevel injection around the pool deck. PolyLevel is an environmentally safe, expanding polymer material that is injected through small holes drilled in the concrete deck. As the material flows through loose soils, it expands on contact filling voids and creating stable ground. In addition, PolyLevel is able to lift concrete back level again, closing the cracks that concerned this homeowner. Once the project was complete, the homeowner was thrilled that his pool deck was crack-free and level once more.

Enhanced Downspout Drainage System in Ormond Beach, Florida
Jeff from Ormond Beach, Florida, was in need of a more effective drainage solution around his home after experiencing heavy flooding following severe rainstorms. He called LRE Foundation Repair and scheduled a free inspection with one of our Design Specialists to help provide a solution. After carefully evaluating the existing drainage system at Jeff's home, our specialist designed a plan to install a new system, which included French drains around the perimeter of the property. The plan also involved connecting the gutter downspouts directly to the underground drainage system to prevent the water from dispersing around the foundation. The water collected by the French drains and downspouts would then be diverted out to a pop-up relief drain away from the property through an underground drainage pipe. Once Jeff approved the plan, our team installed the system, carefully concealing it below the surface. Now, with this enhanced drainage system in place, Jeff can be confident that his home is better protected from potential flood damage.

Exterior Wall Cracks in Gainesville, FL
Aran and Leann C. were growing tired of having to continuously patch and paint over cracks on their Gainesville, Florida home. Looking for a permanent solution before repainting their house, they decided to give us a call. Upon inspection, our specialist determined that the expansive clay soils under the home were causing too much movement and ultimately, settlement damage. A customized solution was designed using helical piers. Our team was able to successfully transfer the weight of the home to the helical piers, prompting those stairstep cracks to close, while leaving the home permanently stabilized. Once complete, Aran and Leann were happy to hear their problem had been solved for good - now they can finally repaint their family home.
