The homeowner noticed small hairline cracks forming in the exterior walls of his home, which gradually worsened over time, prompting him to seek a professional foundation inspection.
The homeowner's concrete driveway had suffered severe damage, with numerous cracks forming and sections sinking into the ground.
Soil settlement beneath the driveway caused the concrete slabs to shift, resulting in large cracks throughout the surface.
Horizontal cracks at the base of the exterior walls of the home were a clear indication that the home's foundation was settling.
An LRE Design Specialist conducted a thorough inspection of the homeowner's crawl space to assess its condition and develop a comprehensive solution for preventing future moisture damage.
The original block piers in the crawl space, which had been supporting the home's floor joists, had deteriorated, resulting in sagging and instability in the floor joists.
The homeowner's concrete driveway had experienced significant settlement damage over time, resulting in numerous surface cracks and the formation of multiple tripping hazards.
The inspection conduct by the LRE Design Specialist revealed that the block piers supporting the home's floor joists had settled, causing the floor joists to slope.
