You can see that this is an area that creepy crawly's would love to be in. its dark, damp and has standing water.
Water leaking into any home is a hazard to the value of the property and the health of those in the home.
Over time, this main beam has weaken and now cracked which has made the wood loss all of it's integrity.
If you look closely, you can see the main concern of the customer which was the integrity of the floors being compromised. Being an open crawlspace and right on the the coast line, the home is highly susceptible to high humidity and moisture.
