In this photo you can see evidence of the main beam sagging and wet spots around the crawl space.
For this little spot of drywall that we had to tear out to make room for our drainage system and sump basin, we replaced it with our EverLast paneling system.
Our WaterGuard drains were then fitted into the trench, backfilled with gravel, pitched towards the sump pump, and then concealed with a fresh concrete float.
We then installed our dimpled drainage matting all over the floor of the crawl space for additional drainage. This matting will also help strengthen the CleanSpace vapor barrier over it.
The CleanSpace encapsulation system is a 20 mil-thick-liner that is designed for flexibility, puncture resistance, and tear resistance.
One of the hardest parts of the job is removing debris and trash from dirty crawl spaces.
When fiberglass soaks up moisture, it becomes heavy and may fall from the ceiling.
Here you can see how the drainage system hooks into the sump pit. The sump pit also has holes, which allows the gravel to help drain as well.
