On the interior walls, we lined them up with our CleanSpace wall vapor to prevent any outside moisture from seeping in. This will lower the humidity and decrease the chances of mold growth! On the right, we installed our TripleSafe sump pump to discharge all of the water being collected by the WaterGuard interior drainage system, which is under all of the fresh concrete you see in this photo!
We placed TrenchDrains to go around this water heater, this help prevent surface water build up around this crucial basement appliance.
This was the sump pump system that was out dated and no longer working. We covered it in concrete to properly seal it away.
TrenchDrain is installed at the base of the stairway to collect excess water. It is connected to the WaterGuard drainage system.
The WaterGuard drainage system is installed carefully along the perimeter of the basement floor and around the oil tank to protect it, then the drainage system is covered in fresh concrete. The WaterGuard ports are left visible to provide easy access to the system if needed.
To protect this basement from water vapor intrusion, we covered the interior walls with CleanSpace wall vapor barrier! This lowers the risk of mold growth and musty odors. Near it, our TripleSafe sump pump is there to discharge any collected water seepage far and out of this foundation.
The customer was extremely pleased with the installation of the sump pump system. Shown here is after the liner was installed.
Here is a photo of a the crawlspace before the process was done. Clear signs of mold, dampness and moisture, yuck!
