The inspection conducted by an Ayers Specialist determined there were high moisture levels in the air and water buildup on the ground. Thus, CleanSpace and Drainage Matting were later installed to eliminate those issues!
Cracks in the ceiling are a serious issue and if you see them you should take action immediately! They are usually a result of foundation issues and will only get worse if not addressed.
As seen above, water had caused issues with the insulation and was leaking down to the floor. Moisture like this can cause mold and other problems, so it must be appropriately handled.
Nichole opted to install the WaterGuard system. WaterGuard is a French drain system that sits below the basement floor and above the home's footing. The location of the drain keeps it out of the mud zone, unlike other drains, so that it won't get clogged up! The drain is installed around the basement perimeter and will catch any water coming in and funnel it to the sump pump!
As seen above, water had become quite an issue and had definitely caused damage. This room is the wine cellar room, and over the past couple of years, had progressively got worse. The team at Ayers determined that the water was leaking down the foundation walls, and the best option was an internal drain system.
Water was leaking into the home as watermarks were prevalent. The corner above was where most of the water was leaking into the basement. Installing WaterGuard would permanently resolve this issue!
Hannah and Pete opted to have Drainage Matting installed in their crawl space. The matts sit on the ground below the CleanSpace liner and help funnel the water towards a sump pump. The dimples create paths for the water to flow, eliminating standing water!
The first step when installing the sump pump into Holly's house was to remove the concrete and dig down to a level where water is prevalent. Once the desired depth was met, the liner for the pump was placed and surrounded by rocks.
