Vernon brought vast experience with him to HomeSpec before he joined the family 4 years ago - including 10 years of customer service experience, which makes it easy for him to talk to our homeowners. He also did roofing and siding for several years which gave him an understanding of the construction-based aspect of his job. Vernon also has a CADD (Computer Aided Drafting & Design).
HomeSpec has certified Vernon in all things basement waterproofing, crawl space, and foundation repair. He spends his days installing interior drainage systems to waterproof basements, or installing beams and support posts to stabilize foundations. Aside from great co-workers and an upbeat atmosphere, Vernon's favorite part about his position is the process of completing a job the right way. He says fixing a problem is almost like solving a puzzle!
When he's not working, you can find Vernon traveling, kayaking or disc golfing!

He was also very focused on quality, reputation, and values. These things matter to me. HomeSpec was slightly more expensive than FSM, and the solutions quoted nearly identical, but I just felt better spending this much money a company Chuck was representing. During install, my water main was hit which delayed my project and caused some issues, but I never felt the team wasn't professional or didn't know what they were doing. The team doing the work worked hard and all day long. I'm comfortable with my decision to have had this work done with HomeSpec.
