A homeowner in Cranston, Rhode Island was concerned with their concrete patio cracking and settling, creating tripping hazards. Noticing that the problem was getting worse, they wanted to lift and stabilize the concrete before further damage occurred. Our Design Specialist, Jim Meglio, went to the home to conduct a free home inspection. After completing the inspection, he recommended installing PolyLevel to lift and level the sunken concrete. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam used to fill voids between the soil and concrete. Our installation crew drilled tiny holes in the concrete in order to inject the foam. After lifting the concrete back to its original spot, NexusPro joint repair was used to seal the cracks. NexusPro stops water from making its way underneath the concrete, preventing shifting and cracking. With the application of these products, the patio has become a safe and more visually appealing space.

A homeowner is selling their home in the near future and wants to make sure the selling process goes smoothly. Structural issues were a big concern. Looking to strengthen the foundation, this homeowner reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions. Design Specialist, Mark Proctor, noticed severe foundation problems upon giving a free home inspection. Cobblestone walls had settled, resulting in brick walls bowing outward and even partially collapsing. With such drastic basement damage, Mark recommended reconstructing the foundation walls and pouring a new concrete slab. Our installation crew demoed the entire front wall section, carefully disassembling the corner that was held together by only foam. Reconstructing the foundation was a challenge with rain hitting the exposed cobblestone, but with the crew's care and attention to detail, they were able to overcome it. With a new foundation, the home is now properly supported. This homeowner now has peace of mind during the home selling process, and while he continues to live in the home.

Before our intervention in Sullivan, NH, this homeowner faced a failing cinderblock foundation wall bowing five inches inward, with prominent horizontal and stair-step cracks. These issues compromised structural integrity and threatened further damage. As shown in the images, we swiftly addressed this challenge. Using the GeoLock Wall Anchor System®, we effectively stabilized the wall. Our solution not only prevented future inward movement but also straightened the wall. This quick installation not only restored the property's value but reassured the homeowner with renewed peace of mind.

A homeowner from Belmont, Massachusetts has a finished basement that kept leaking. This has caused mold and other undesirable affects. The homeowner wants to create a livable space for family members to use. In order to achieve this, she reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions. One of our Design Specialists, Scott Ruisi, came out to the home to complete a free home inspection. Within 90 minutes, Scott diagnosed the issues with the basement and proposed solutions that met the homeowner's expectations. He ultimately recommended installing WaterGuard perimeter drainage, TrenchDrain surface drainage, a TripleSafe sump pump, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. This waterproofing system collects water at the perimeter of the foundation before entering the basement, filtering it to the sump pump, and then expelling it from the home through a drainage line. The dehumidifier removes moisture from the air, thus eliminating mold spores and other toxins, which creates better air quality. Our installation crew chipped out the perimeter of the basement floor and wall to make space for the WaterGuard system. Once space was made, WaterGuard was laid in place on top of crushed stone. TrenchDrain is used in areas where WaterGuard in inaccessible.  These two systems connect to each other, forming a path that allows water to flow to the sump pump. A basin was created for the sump pump to sit in and collect the water. Once the drainage system was connected to the sump pump, everything was cemented in place. The exterior drainage line was then added to the sump pump. Our installation crew made sure to keep the space neat and tidy. Once the job was complete, they gave the homeowner a walkthrough of their new waterproofing system. They were thrilled with the result.
