WaterGuard has been installed along the interior perimeter of the fieldstone foundation to collect water and channel it to the sump basin.
The foundation wall was bowing slightly, indicating a lack of structural integrity.
The old bulkhead was allowing water to penetrate into the basement.
Voids beneath the perimeter of the garage floor entrance allowed frost to infiltrate the foundation, leading to concrete damage. To prevent further deterioration of the garage floor, a comprehensive solution addressing frost seepage and its impact on the foundation was necessary.
The slab beneath the front step had settled 2 inches. This left the large gap you see here and also caused a slope in the concrete which allowed rain water to flow towards the house.
This crack in the foundation was leaking water into the basement.
The basement had been water free for over 30 years but in the last couple of years, water has been entering and collecting on the floor.
WaterGuard is installed to collect water before entering the foundation. It is set in crushed stone and then cemented in place to ensure proper flow to the sump basin.
