By Martha C.Merrimack, NHI typically go with a family owned business when having work done. I reviewed them on line, and when I called I was received well. All staff were patient and caring, never rushing me to answer all my questions. Honestly, I have never worked with a company that was as thorough at Erickson, right down to a follow up call from Kim to see if I had any further questions or issues. Thank you to all who I had contact with! Keep up the great work! -

By Matt P.Stow, MADiscovering that a house you just bought is slowly sinking into the ground is an absolutely terrible feeling. When I started to search for foundation specialists, Erickson Foundation Solutions immediately came up at the top of the list. There’s a reason why – they are excellent. Within a few days of reaching out, a design specialist was at our door. As someone who is very sensitive to being “sold” something, this made me more than a little uncomfortable. However, he seemed to know the products well and did a good job listening to my concerns. Within a day, we had a detailed estimate in hand and a couple weeks later after some haggling over the details, we’d accepted it. Erickson’s office staff (who are all excellent) reached out to us immediately and got the job scheduled. A month or so later, our project manager, Nate Erickson, made a visit to go over the site and job in detail. He spent a lot of time discussing the challenges of the job with my wife and I – making sure to address both of us and make sure that both of our questions were answered (which is unusual in my experience). We made a variety of adjustments, and the final plan ended up looking significantly different than the design from the original estimate. However, we were extremely happy that it ended up including more work being done at the same price. The work involved was significant. We needed a section of our house foundation stabilized and lifted with ten push piers, a few helical piers to stabilize columns in the attached garage, a section of failed concrete slab in our garage chipped up, the remaining portion leveled and void-filled with PolyLevel, and the removed portions of the garage slab re-poured. In almost every respect, the project went exactly as I’d hoped it would. The house is stabilized and lifted almost back to its original level and the garage looks great and is completely usable again. Knowing that this fix is done correctly and essentially permanent is a huge relief. I want to give a huge shout-out to all of the teams at Erickson that worked with us along the way. The admin staff including Betty, Cassady, Jennifer, Kim, and Jeff were all patient, responsive, and great to work with. Neal, Cristian, and Devin did an awesome job installing the piers and doing the lift of the house. They also got the unenviable job of breaking up the failed portion of the garage slab – truly back-breaking work. Dan and Cote did an excellent job leveling the portions of the slab we decided to keep with jacks and PolyLevel. Nick, Noah, and Kevin did a fantastic job forming, pouring, and finishing the new slab. And finally, having Nate available through the entire job to answer questions and incorporate my feedback provided continuity across all of the teams. By its nature, this kind of work is extremely stressful and very expensive. However, with this team, I always felt like I was in good hands. To a man, they communicated extremely clearly, stood by their estimates, never seemed to tire of answering the endless questions I asked, and did a job I am now proud to show people who visit. Down the line a way, I hope to have them back to replace another portion of my basement slab and make some cosmetic repairs. I don’t plan to call anyone else. -

By Rob A.Walpole, MAWe interviewed 4 other contractors first. Erickson personnel right from the initial evaluation listened and saw the potential issues pointed out by us, they wanted the home owner’s observations, they had the depth of services offered along with website pictures and products used, and they didn’t gloss-over telltale signs of water intrusion at the bulkhead or small cracks in the foundation. They were always open for discussion. We sought quality and peace of mind, rather then multiple attempts at fixing a problem. Hard working crew that we admired. -
