SmartPipe was installed around the perimeter of the crawl space. This system is designed to capture water along the entire perimeter of the crawl space and deliver it to the sump pump system, all without exposing the crawl space to water.
This crawl space had the potential to be an excellent space for storage. However, due to water seepage, utilities were at risk of getting damaged and the space could not be used to stored personal items. The homeowner was tired of the annoying cleanup process and musty odors associated with crawl space leaks and flooding.
Water infiltrated the unfinished section of the basement, which was used for storing personal belongings. As the situation deteriorated, water began to penetrate the finished basement area as well. Faced with potential damage to personal items, flooring, and drywall, the homeowner sought a permanent solution to ensure peace of mind and prevent future water intrusion.
The photograph illustrates significant water intrusion, which has compromised the integrity of the concrete flooring. Consequently, this has exposed personal belongings to potential damage.
WaterGuard has been installed around the foundation's perimeter to intercept water before it can enter the basement. The water that WaterGuard collects is subsequently directed to the sump pump.
The previously installed sump pump was unable to capture all the water from the high water table surrounding the home. This has led to leaks coming from both the foundation walls and floor.
The wet crawl space caused the home to have musty odors. Notice the wood rot that is occurring in the photo as well. The wooden support posts lost their integrity as a result, causing sagging floors. If left unaddressed, the foundation could face worse damage.
For our TripleSafe Sump Pump system to remove water from the home, it exits through a discharge line. The discharge line stems from the sump system to the exterior of the home. IceGuard, seen at the top of the photo, was installed to the discharge line to allow water to flow freely in freezing temperatures, thus eliminating fear of buildup and flooding occurring. The discharge line is then buried underground to preserve the lawn's aesthetic. For these homeowners, the discharge line was installed through a brick walkway.
