The sump pump previously installed in the basement was unable to capture water, leaving the basement exposed to leaks and floods, primarily during heavy rains or snow.
In order to install our perimeter drainage system, our crew started work on the project by removing the lower half of drywall in the basement.
The sump pump previously installed in the home was unable to capture water to keep the basement dry. The lack of a sump cover also invited excessive moisture into the basement, potentially causing mold if left unaddressed. This also allowed debris to fall in and clog the system.
The broken sump pump left the basement prone to flooding. This is evident by the damaged foundation floors seen in the photo.
The existing sump pump functioned, however, due to the high water table surrounding the home, a more comprehensive system was needed.
The dirt portion of the crawl space often filled with water. This presented problems such as musty odors, causing insulation to fall out, and wood rot.
The wet and humid crawlspace created musty odors throughout the home and caused the insulation in the ceiling to get heavy and fall.
