CleanSpace Vapor Barrier was fastened to the basement wall to prevent and block moisture from seeping through. Instead, the moisture will drain down the back side of the liner, directly into the drainage system to be removed from the basement through the sump system.
This crawl space shows clear signs of moisture damage and poor conditions. Exposed dirt floors, fallen insulation, and unprotected ductwork allow humidity, odors, and pests to impact the home above. Left untreated, these issues can lead to higher energy bills, poor air quality, and structural damage. The next step in the project was to prepare this space for a full encapsulation system that would seal out moisture and create a healthier environment.

In the basement of Hillcrest Baptist Church's fellowship hall, clutter and stored items sit near a below-grade window showing clear signs of past water intrusion. Staining along the lower wall and floor, as well as deterioration around the window frame, indicate that heavy rains have allowed moisture to seep inside. Our waterproofing plan will include sealing vulnerable entry points, installing proper drainage, and adding a protective moisture barrier to prevent future flooding and protect the church's stored equipment and supplies.
