This TripleSafe sump pump comes with all the bells and whistles a proper sump pump should. Specifically, it has three different pumps, including one that is backed by a battery backup system. It also has an airtight lid, an airtight floor drain, and an alarm system.
We were able to fit our CleanSpace vapor barrier behind the drywall studs. This vapor barrier will help protect the drywall the homeowners plan to reinstall.
After the job is complete we backfill the piers with the soil used to create the trenches. This soil will settle and pack down over time.
CleanSpace is not just a plastic sheet-it's a 7-layer polyethylene and polyester-cord reinforced material, designed for durability, flexibility, and puncture resistance. That makes it tougher and longer-lasting than traditional liners or moisture barriers.
You can see where we installed an egress window along the back wall from this picture.
We use a laser, which is level with the earth in order to see what parts of the structure are sagging the most. This crawl space had some parts sagging up to half an inch in some spots.
