As you can see, the corner of the basement has been leaking water for awhile. This would eventually degrade the structural integrity of the space.
Groundwater was coming in from the ground and creating a wet basement.
Water was leaking from the walls and floors of this basement. They needed a wall to floor covering and drainage system to prevent water damage.
Installers drill the push pier until it reaches stable soil in order to relieve the pressure from the wall.
White water stains on the crawl space wall indicate the moisture issues.

Iron ochre is a natural occurring rust-colored, gelatin-like, substance formed by iron bacteria. This basement had the unfortunate combination of iron ochre mud and water leakage in the basement.
