This home is located in an area prone to sewer backup, so these homeowners proactively installed a backwater check valve. These devices are designed to allow water to flow in only one direction: away from the home and significantly decreases the risk of sewage backup when installed and maintained properly.
Specifically designed for humid spaces drains directly into the sump pump.
This crack is a sign of possible future severe problems.
Evidence of water damage,
Tight and not sealed.
The sewer backup caused damage throughout the entire basement.
We waterproofed the leaky walls and then installed the PowerBrace System to help stop the inward bowing and stabilize the structure.
