Some months ago I contracted to have a slab of concrete at the entry of my home lifted to make it align horizontally with an adjacent slab to eliminate a tripping hazard. When the project was finished I noticed that the slabs were not flush and that a bridge of sealing compound was added to fill the gap. After a few months of curing, large holes appeared in the compound taking on the appearance of a cargo net. It not only looked awful, but the tripping hazard was not remedied. My attitude of the work was in the dummper. After stewing about it, I called Davenport with my concern expecting a review of rationalizations and an expectation that it would cost more money to fix the problem. I was caught off guard. The person (Taylor?) said: "No problem, it's covered under warranty." She then set up an appointment for someone to come out. On the appointed day a large truck came an parked in front of the driveway. Again, I expected a review of exculpatory rationalizations. Again, I was caught of guard. When Gage and Jonathan exited the vehicle, their first response was "where's the problem and we'll fix it" or words to that effect. And fix it they did. They were able to eliminate the hazard, compensate for flat work errors of the original contractor, and make the appearance look much better. I my attitude adjustment turned 180 degrees. The crew left me with the impression that Davenport truly cared about their brand and saitifying the customer.
