Crawl spaces don't have to be flooded to be extremely unhealthy. Mold spores, odors, humidity and critters create a very unhealthy environment for families. Besides allergies, many people can go about their daily lives without realizing how their nasty crawl space is affecting their health and quality of life. This homeowner realized that, even though they had an encapsulation, the liner was leaking and the crawl space was in poor shape. To fix this, they contacted us to install our CleanSpace© crawl space encapsulation system with drainage matting and our SaniDry Sedona. Not only is their crawl space now a bright, attractive space in their home, but it's vapor-proof and safe to use for storage. This crawl space was flooding, and the previous liner in place wasn't doing anything to prevent leakage. That's no surprise for us—our competitor liners tend to be thin, flimsy installations that are not long-term solutions for wet crawl spaces. However, our CleanSpace© crawl space encapsulation system has a heavy 20 mil thick liner that's over twice as thick as industry standard liners, and manufactured in 7 layers to optimize puncture resistance, flexibility, and brute tear resistance. We also installed our drainage matting to give additional durability, puncture resistance and a thermal break to the encapsulation system. After sealing all edges, seams, and pipe penetrations, this permanent installation provides long-lasting waterproofing benefits for the homeowners, significantly reducing humidity in the crawl space.
