How a Crawl Space Foundation Repair Restored Stability: A Real Foundation Inspection & Repair Success in Pinedale, AZ
Barbara and Carl’s home in Pinedale, AZ, was supposed to be a peaceful retreat. But over time, unsettling signs began to emerge. Floors sloped noticeably, doors jammed or swung open on their own, and thin cracks crept across the drywall. Built in 2005 on a stem wall foundation, the 2,400-square-foot home began exhibiting issues that pointed to more than just wear and tear. The subtle but persistent signs of foundation trouble not only compromised daily comfort but also raised deeper concerns about structural integrity, safety, and long-term property value.
The Search for a Solution
Like many homeowners, Barbara and Carl initially hoped these issues were minor—perhaps just settling or cosmetic. But as the symptoms worsened, they realized temporary fixes wouldn’t be enough. DIY attempts and basic handyman assessments couldn’t address what was becoming a serious concern under the surface. They needed real answers—and a team with the experience and tools to deliver them.
Why Arizona Foundation Solutions?
After researching foundation specialists in Arizona, the family were drawn to Arizona Foundation Solutions. They were encouraged by the transparency of the company’s process, detailed customer reviews, and a reputation for lasting results. When Solutions Consultant Thomas Cochran arrived for an initial inspection, he didn’t just walk through the home—he listened, explained how soil interacts with foundation design, and identified warning signs others had missed. This thorough approach, paired with cutting-edge tools and diagnostics, reassured Barbara and Carl that they’d found the right team.
The Repair Process
Following a full assessment, Arizona Foundation Solutions prescribed a comprehensive repair plan:
48 Push Piers: To stabilize the foundation and prevent further settlement.
15 SmartJack® Crawl Space Jacks: Installed to reinforce sagging floor joists and beams. The SmartJack® system is known for its strength (supporting up to 30,000 pounds) and adjustability, which is ideal for crawl spaces in homes affected by moisture or poor original construction.
9 Helical Piers: Used to provide deep foundational support in unstable soil zones.
49 Lift Points: Strategically placed to realign and elevate sections of the home that had settled.
Concrete and Hand-Dig Repairs: Targeted fixes ensured minimal disruption while restoring critical structural areas.
Despite the complexity of the job, the AZFS team worked with precision and care—safeguarding the home’s original features while strengthening its foundation from the ground up.
Transformation – The After
Post-repair, the transformation was clear. Floors were level. Doors closed smoothly. Cracks no longer spread across the walls. Beneath the home, the crawl space had gone from chaotic and unsupported to cleanly reinforced with SmartJack® systems and I-beams, all secured over compacted stone and concrete pads. Barbara and Carl could finally enjoy peace of mind knowing their home was safe, stable, and built to last.
The Power of Trust
This project underscores a simple truth: foundation issues don’t improve with time. Acting early, as Barbara and Carl did, prevents further damage and higher costs. Arizona Foundation Solutions earned their trust by offering expert assessments, high-performance products, and a customer-first approach—values that continue to set them apart.

Concrete Leveled with PolyLevel in Vail, AZ
An area of the Homeowner's front walk way was settling, which is very common in this area. With the technology of PolyLevel, we were able to bring the sidewalk back up to a level position.
Concrete Stem Wall Repair in Tucson, AZ
The stem wall of the Tucson, AZ home was showing signs of failure. Stem walls crack, spall, and flake when the rebar inside becomes oxidized which weakens the concrete. Our stem wall repair crew cut out the existing rebar and replaced it with our non-ferrous composite.
Vail, AZ Concrete Crack Stitching
Composite interlocking can be performed to tie the broken pieces of the concrete together. The existing cracks will be cleaned and non-parallel lines will be cut across the existing cracks. Next carbon fiber laminate stitches will be inserted into the non-parallel cuts and then the gaps will be filled with a 2 part poly.
Finally, the crack should be ground smooth to minimize the differential. If done properly, this will allow the slab to function as one floating unit to help prevent the damages to flooring, ceiling and walls. If this is instead expansion joint separation, the joint should be cleaned, routed, and re-caulked with an expansive joint filler.
