We bought our home in Hastings with a great deal of moisture in the basement and even spots of pooled water, particularly after the rain.  The water in the basement was almost enough to stop us from purchasing the home.  CT Basements installed French drains and the moisture system and it has made a dramatic difference.  The basement is now largely dry and accordingly it has become a more usable space.  We are grateful for the product/service they provided particularly given the lifetime warranty and knowledge that they are here if the water returns. 

To Lawrence Janesky, I am writing this email to praise Basement Systems on two fronts. But first let me tell you our story. After living in our new house for the past 4.5 years with hardly a drop of water in our unfinished basement, we discovered water flooding in at a rate of 10 gallons an hour through every part of the basement perimeter. Naturally we were stressed and baffled and called everyone we could think of including plumbers, excavators, roofers, basement specialists etc. One of the many calls we made was to Basement Systems and it was three weeks for a first time estimate appointment. After applying 6 gallons of hydraulic cement we were able to reduce the flood to a few gallons an hour but we were still frantic to find a solution quickly. Due to the wait for an appointment we wrote off your company as one of the contenders for a solution. After having several basement waterproofing companies visit our home, and after giving a deposit to one of them, we read through the Dry Basement Science book you had sent us through the mail. This very well written and descriptive book put a lot of things in perspective for us and gave us a new light on some of the things the other basement companies had said in their presentations. One of the things I especially valued in your book were the concentration on the technology of your solution vs the other companies concentration on how often they were praised and by whom. It was really the receipt of the Dry Basement Science book alone that caused us to reevaluate your company as a contender. We purposely sought your company out at a booth at the Home Expo at Pace University in Pleasantville, NY last weekend to see what you had to say and whether you might be persuaded to come out earlier to visit our home.  At the Home Expo we had the pleasure to meet with Jeff Nelson who was very helpful in his description of your system and your company. Even better, was that Jeff agreed to make a personal visit to our house that same evening, a Sunday night, after the expo was over! This visit combined with Jeff's superb demeanor and knowledge convinced us to choose your company over the company we had already given a deposit to. In addition, we later learned that Jeff was able to give us a very early date to implement the proposed solution. In summary, I would like to praise you for the book you have written, for the willingness to send it through the mail before we had seen anyone from your company, and for retaining excellent staff such as Jeff Nelson. Chuck Stofko and Bill Anderson came to our house at no charge and started analyzing our issue.  They even cut into some walls to identify the source of the odor. They quickly identified the problem was coming from the outside, which essentially took the work away from them.  They took the time to discuss our options and even followed up in that they were looking for local providers to help out. I sincerely appreciated the honesty and quick diagnosis. I would absolutely do business with them again

Dear Mr. McCarty, I wanted to write to you to let you know what an asset Gary Meglino is to Connecticut Basements.  Gary came out last Monday, April 23 to assess our waterproofing needs and give me an estimate. From the phone call the night before to confirm our appointment to his follow-up call after his visit, every aspect of my interactions with Gary confirmed that Connecticut Basements is a company I would like to give my business to.  He was professional, personable, and informed. I really felt educated after his visit about the products Connecticut Basements offers and what options were available to me. With his presentation of the product samples and videos, I really felt like I knew exactly what I would be getting from the installation. Before I contacted Connecticut Basement Systems, my basement floor was consistently wet. The water would seep in through the walls near the floor, worsening after any amount of rain. Connecticut Basement Systems installed perimeter drain around the basement to catch whatever water was entering the basement, a Triple Safe Sump Pump, and I had the Clean Space wall liner put in. I noticed the difference immediately. My floor is now consistently dry, which it has never been before. Also, the Clean Space wall liner has dramatically changed the appearance of the basement. The old concrete walls were really dark and cruddy looking and the wall liner really brightened and cleaned up the look of my basement. The work completed by Connecticut Basement Systems has truly improved my home. I can now actually use my basement and not have to worry about putting on boots first. Before the installation, we were scared to store anything down there with the risk of getting everything wet and moldy. My basement was a complete waste of space before. Now I utilize the space partially as a storage area and partially a work area for hobbies.  My experience with the Connecticut Basement Systems team has been exceptional from start to finish. Chuck arrived for the consultation and immediately identified the trouble areas in the basement and explained how they could be remedied. Chuck was able to answer all of my questions with confidence, which was very reassuring. On the day of the installation, Noel and his crew showed up on time. Noel walked me through the whole installation process and explained the work to be done, step by step. They did a great job of covering everything in the basement with plastic, as to keep the dust off. After that, they got right to work and were able to finish the entire job before 5:00p.m. I have never seen a crew work as hard as these guys did that day. Everyone on the crew was respectful and neat, they cleaned all the debris from the basement and did not leave any other mess. I was thoroughly impressed. I would refer Connecticut Basement Systems to anyone with the same basement issues as I had. The entire process is easy, and I am confident in the work that was done. The work was a cost effective solution that greatly improved the quality of my basement and home and there was no cost or fee that was unexplained.
