This homeowner reached out to us to come and take a look at their crawlspace which they feared needed some renovating. After our team was able to inspect the area, we determined a hydrolink drainage system would be needed as well as the removal of some debris sitting in the space. We also noticed that the ground was very uneven so while we are down there we will be regrading the crawlspace, adding a new smart sump, wrapping the piers, installing drainage matting and installing a Green Turtl.

A lot more often these days homes are being built with a poured concrete floor in the crawlspace. This is commonly called a "rat slab." The idea behind this is to keep the water under the slab and out of the crawlspace. If this worked then we would never have to waterproof a basement either. Water will eventually find its way into any space, the important thing to remember is that DryZone can manage almost any water problem. All hope is not lost, a piping system can be installed in any leaky crawlspace. These photos show how a homeowner tried to divert water by cutting trenches in the concrete floor.
