Ken’s pool deck in Longwood, Florida, often flooded during heavy rainstorms, leaving large pools of water that drained slowly. Seeking a lasting solution, he contacted LRE Foundation Repair. Our Design Specialist inspected the property and found that the original channel drains had become damaged and were no longer adequate for providing proper drainage, causing persistent pooling. We proposed installing a new exterior drainage system featuring an upgraded channel drain to efficiently collect and divert rainwater away from the deck. After Ken’s approval, our team removed sections of concrete, installed the new channel drain, and connected it to a subsurface drainage pipe system. Now, Ken’s pool deck is well-protected with a superior drainage solution that prevents pooling and safeguards his home from water damage.

Robert B. of Ormond Beach, Florida called LRE Foundation Repair after growing concerned about large cracks forming in his pool deck. LRE completed an inspection of the property only to discover large voids had formed underground where armadillos had previously dug their dens. LRE formulated a plan to remedy the unstable soil situation by using PolyLevel injection around the pool deck. PolyLevel is an environmentally safe, expanding polymer material that is injected through small holes drilled in the concrete deck. As the material flows through loose soils, it expands on contact filling voids and creating stable ground. In addition, PolyLevel is able to lift concrete back level again, closing the cracks that concerned this homeowner. Once the project was complete, the homeowner was thrilled that his pool deck was crack-free and level once more. 

Jeff from Ormond Beach, Florida, was in need of a more effective drainage solution around his home after experiencing heavy flooding following severe rainstorms. He called LRE Foundation Repair and scheduled a free inspection with one of our Design Specialists to help provide a solution. After carefully evaluating the existing drainage system at Jeff's home, our specialist designed a plan to install a new system, which included French drains around the perimeter of the property. The plan also involved connecting the gutter downspouts directly to the underground drainage system to prevent the water from dispersing around the foundation. The water collected by the French drains and downspouts would then be diverted out to a pop-up relief drain away from the property through an underground drainage pipe. Once Jeff approved the plan, our team installed the system, carefully concealing it below the surface. Now, with this enhanced drainage system in place, Jeff can be confident that his home is better protected from potential flood damage.

Brian G. of Sanford, Florida was in need of replacing his roof, but was worried there were underlying issues with his foundation due to large cracks in his exterior brick walls. He decided to call LRE Foundation Repair to assess the damage and troubleshoot the foundation before he went through the expense of a roof replacement. We completed a whole home inspection and determined voids under the house caused by unstable and washed-out soil conditions were contributing to the movement and sinking of his foundation. We designed a solution to this problem by installing helical piers to support the foundation and injecting PolyLevel to fill the voids and stabilize the soils.
