At a Mount Pleasant, SC home, the homeowner was experiencing pooling water in their crawl space during wet times of the year. Our inspector identified the issue and recommended installing drainage matting to aid drainage and a sump pump to remove the water. Our team installed the drainage matting and sump pump to solve the problem, ensuring that the crawl space stays free of pooling water all year round.

As seen from the before picture, this crawlspace has been dealing with water intrusion at the foundation wall. With a perimeter crawlspace drainage system, all water will be captured and redirected to the sump pump.

Falling insulation can cause other problems besides cluttering up your crawl space. In these pictures you can see that the insulation actually pulled down a junction box creating a fire and electrical hazard. Also note the white powder on the joists. Yep you guessed it, that's mold! We were able to correct the problems through insulation removal and the installation of a CleanSpace System.
