Willie reached out to us to get a free estimate because the floors on the first floor of his home were out of level. Our Resident Sales Pro, Waylon came out to see what the main problem was and he discovered that there was a lack of support in the crawl space, causing the floors to sag. In order to fix this, one of our crews installed a few SmartJacks along with a supplemental beam. SmartJacks are made form strong galvanized steel and they're installed on a sturdy base so they don't settle. There was a settlement issue in this customer's garage, causing the foundation to pull away from the house and create cracks on the exterior. We installed foundation helical piers for permanent stabilization. The helical piers were driven deep into the soil to solid rock, providing a stable base for the foundation. This customer's porch floor started sagging due to excessive moisture. To provide adequate stabilization, the most effective way to restore the porch's structural integrity we installed SmartJack support posts. It looks as if this customer had pre-existing foundation issues, and gotten them fixed, however they did not hold up and the customer was still dealing with the structural foundation of their home. They gave us a call here at Atlanta Basement Systems and we were able to send a sales representative out to look at the home, and see what we would be able to do to ensure that the foundation of the home was going to withstand. After the sales representative conducted an inspection they were able to determine that SmartJacks were going to be the answer to all of these problems. The SmartJacks are steel beams that are placed in the ground, down to the stable soil, and then surrounded with concrete for extra stability. All of the beams are then connected, and tightened in place, immediately leveling and securing the foundation. They help to transfer the weight of the foundation from the home onto the stable soil. This customer was left with the peace of mind of knowing that he was never going to have to deal with structural foundation issues again.
