Star-step cracks were appearing in a foundation in Taylorville, IL, so the GeoLock Wall Anchor System was installed. These are galvanized steel earth anchors embedded into the soil out and away from the foundation wall. Foreman Jeremy R Installed a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor in Jaime’s basement. The Wall Anchor has two ends, one will attach to stable soil away from the house and the other will attach to the basement wall. The device can be tightened and overtime will straighten the wall. 

Concrete-block foundation walls are particularly vulnerable to cracking and bowing because there are hundreds of seams and weak points throughout. It is important to address any damage as soon as possible, as it can spiral out of control quickly if left alone.
