Bowing, tilting and cracking in foundation walls are signs of damage from pressure of unstable soil on the outside of the walls. If these problems are left unchecked, walls may fail causing even worse problems. Rich M. of Makanda, IL had bowing and cracked walls so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended installing Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.

Woods installed the Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the bowing and cracked walls. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors counteract the external pressure on the walls by connecting steel earth anchors, that have been embedded in more stable soil in the yard, to steel wall plates on the inside of the walls using galvanized steel anchor rods. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors permanently stabilize walls in the position they are in and can even straighten walls in most cases by tightening the anchors during dry periods.

Support blocks were sinking in a crawlspace in Irvington, IL, causing the support beams to shift. To solve these issues, the SmartJack System was installed. This will stabilize the beams and floor joists in the crawlspace and lift the floor above it back toward its original elevation.
