Support blocks were falling apart in a Vienna, IL crawlspace, causing the floor joists to fall. To solve this issue, the SmartJack System was installed. This will stabilize the beams and floor joists in the crawlspace and lift the floor above it back toward its original elevation. Floor bounce caused by weakened joists or excessive spans will also be reduced. This crawlspace will now remain supported and stable for years to come!

Kathy I was concerned when she noticed that her floors were beginning to sink. So, she decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Tod M was able to come up with a solution to the problem.

Foreman Joshua B installed a SmartJack, shown above, underneath Kathy’s home. The SmartJack will rest on the ground and support the portion of the floors that is sinking, and lift it back to its original position.

A foundation was becoming unstable in Salem, IL, causing cracks to appear. To solve this issue, GeoLock Wall anchors were installed. These are galvanized steel earth anchors embedded into the soil out and away from the foundation wall. Once installed, these will hold the walls in their current position and can be tightened to allow for improvement and straightening of the wall over time. These can be installed around obstacles on the wall such as pipes, sinks, or furniture. This is the best solution to straighten the wall over time, as it can fix severe problems and stabilize the foundation for good!

A foundation was showing signs of failure in Salem, IL, as it was bowing in and cracking. To solve this issue, specialized GeoLock Wall Anchors were installed.  These longer wall anchors are a customized solution for extreme foundation failure, as they will permanently stabilize the wall, straightening it to its original position and keeping it in place.
