A basement wall in Moscow Mills, MO, was unstable and needed to be addressed. This was causing distress to the homeowner, so they decided to give Woods a call. To solve this issue, GeoLock™ was used. These wall anchors will stabilize the walls and can even be tightened over time in case anything shifts. With this system in place, the homeowner can rest easy knowing their basement walls are in great shape. 

The history of basement foundation wall crack repairs goes something like this:

In the past, contractors would chisel out a crack into a larger "V" shape and fill it with hydraulic cement. Injection epoxy used to be the product of choice, but more recently, urethane is a common solution. 

For the corner crack in this Wentzville, Missouri basement, we decided to inject urethane into the crack.  The first picture shows how messy urethane injection may be.  We did two different repairs on this particular wall crack because midway down the wall, there was a larger opening letting a maximum amount of water leak into the basement even during a light rainfall.  We customize the right repair for whatever problem we find in a basement to guarantee a dry below-grade space.

The basement was especially drafty and cold in this basement and only got worse in the winter.  The only way to combat this problem was to seal it with spray foam in the areas of the ceiling where the insulation was.  Now air doesn't escape from the basement leaving it chilly.

A wet basement can deter potential buyers for a home. Alice C. knew this from her experience as an agent so when she was selling a property in Wentzville, MO that had signs of water damage and leaks, she called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended installing a waterproofing system.

The home had an old pump that was no longer working in a dirty pit. Woods replaced it with the TripleSafe Sump Pump System. The TripleSafe contains two high-powered pumps sitting at different levels in its sump liner. Even if the primary pump fails or is unable to keep up with the amount of water coming in during very severe weather, the second pump will kick in and ensure that the basement remains dry.

Jessica P. noticed that water was entering her home's basement after heavy rain storms. She did not want to have to clean up a huge mess after every storm, so she called Woods Basement Systems. 

Design specialist Thomas W. assessed the situation and decided that the best option was to install a TripleSafe sump pump and a WaterGuard drainage system. Foreman Bradly P. then traveled to the home to install the waterproofing products.

The TripleSafe sump pump, pictured above, is equipped with a primary, secondary, and battery powered pump. The sump pump collects and removes water from the home through an exterior discharge line. Thanks to the battery powered pump, any basement will stay dry even if the power goes out.
