A homeowner in Moline, Illinois, struggled with a deteriorating foundation wall and a wet basement that threatened both the structural stability and safety of their home. To resolve both structural and water intrusion issues without invasive excavation, System Design Specialist Tim Rollet evaluated the site and designed a comprehensive repair strategy using the PowerBrace™ System, WaterGuard® Interior Drainage, the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System, and the CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier through MidAmerica Basement Systems.

Foreman Justin Maddox and crew member Devin S. arrived on-site to execute the dual-phase restoration. The team stabilized the failing foundation walls by securing heavy-duty steel PowerBrace beams along the interior wall plane to stop inward movement and allow for potential future tightening. Next, the crew installed the WaterGuard interior perimeter drainage channel along the footing, connecting it directly to a TripleSafe sump pump system to reliably capture and discharge intruding groundwater far away from the foundation.

Finally, Justin and Devin S. lined the walls with the durable CleanSpace vapor barrier, preventing moisture vapor from entering the basement air and directing wall seepage down into the drainage system. The crew finished the installation and cleaned the site, leaving behind a fully stabilized, dry, and usable basement environment built to last.
