Sunken concrete has caused for a large gap between the foundation and driveway. They contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have the concrete mudjacked. It was offered to have the driveway lifted and stabilized with the injection of PolyLevel, which is a more effective and permanent solution. PolyLevel uses a lightweight polyurethane material that won’t put extra stress on the failed soil or against the home’s foundation. PolyLevel also has a quick cure time, allowing for the area to be access within minutes of injection, where it can days takes, and even weeks for accessibility when mudjacking is completed. After PolyLevel, the driveway is back to its original height and is more stable than before, preventing future voids to the injected area.

Jim was very upset with the way his driveway was poured. Only after a couple years it had begun to sink from the foundation of his home and garage. When Cole from MidAmerica Basement Systems inspected the situation, he offered Jim the PolyLevel solution. PolyLevel is a high-density polyurethane material that is injected under the concrete to fill the voids, expanding to lift and level the concrete, and provide a stable surface for the slabs to rest on. After the driveway was lifted, leveled, and stabilized, NexusPro Joint Sealant was applied to all the cracks. NexusPro helps divert water away from the cracks, helping protect the ground underneath the treated and untreated slabs. NexusPro resists UV rays, making it resistant to cracking or bubbling over time, offering a more permanent seal than traditional sealants.

Micheal has lived in his 1950's home for the last 22 years. He plans to live in his current home forever and thought it was time to fix his sinking driveway and garage floors. Over the year this garage floor has sunk over an inch and a half. It was a trip hazard and an eyesore. Along with his garage, his driveway was cracked in a few places and the slabs were all uneven. When he contacted MidAmerica Basement System he was interested in learning options for leveling his driveway. Design Specialist Cole Tatge was eager to teach him about the PolyLevel technology that could help his sinking driveway. PolyLevel is a foam that is injected under the slab to fill the void underneath. Ports are inserted into the driveway where the poly foam with be inserted. When the void is filled with the foam it starts to expand and harden lifting the slab. After the driveway had been leveled the spaces in between the slabs are filled with Nexus Pro. Nexus pro allows the slab to grow and shrink during hot and cold months without the slab cracking and breaking away.

Michael’s garage floor had many cracks in them, causing many tripping hazards. He recently had a radon mitigation system installed with MidAmerica Basement Systems and reached out again to have his concrete slab addressed. It was noted that some areas had sunken, causing the cracking throughout the whole garage. To level and stabilize the sunken areas, PolyLevel was injected into the slab.
