This crawlspace up in Fairhaven, MA was not in ideal shape as it was giving off a very musty smell and was damp all around. The homeowner didn't want to risk getting any mold growth or more strange odors, so our production crew covered the whole area with CleanSpace vapor barrier. Reducing the chances of moisture entering the basement or crawlspace will greatly benefit homeowners! 

Our inspector, Trevor, knows a homeowner in Fairhaven, MA that needed their crawl space repaired so he drew up a solution for them and they decided to move forward with the project! In the past, the homeowner had a clear tarp installed along the dirt floor of the crawl space but it didn't do much for the space and got dirty very quickly due to water. On installation day, our foreman, Tomas, and his crew started by removing the clear tarp and any other debris that was in the space. Then they laid our drainage matting over the dirt floor which allows water to flow under and out of the space instead of pooling and getting stuck inside of it. The crew insulated the walls of the crawl space with our SilverGlo insulation which regulates temperature. Then they fully encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace encapsulation system. CleanSpace is a strong vapor barrier that protects the space and keeps it clean. Lastly, the crew set up our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep humidity in the space low. This new homeowner in Fairhaven, MA gave us a call because they had a home inspection done and they suggested that the crawl space needs some new insulation and waterproofing done. The crew also installed our SmartSump crawl space sump pump to keep the space dry and clean. Lastly, they set up our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep humidity in the crawl space low and it drains right into the SmartSump. With the crawl space now protected by our products, the homeowner is even happier about their new home!

So once our inspector visited him to discuss a solution, they ended up finalizing on a SilverGlo wall insulation and CleanSpace vapor barrier job. The SilverGlo went into the wall to act as insulation, but also a reflective heat barrier for the basement! Then the CleanSpace provides a strong layer of polyethylene to keep moisture out.
