This new homeowner in Fairhaven, MA gave us a call because they had a home inspection done and they suggested that the crawl space needs some new insulation and waterproofing done. Our inspector, Nick, went to the home to assess the crawl space and drew up a solution for the temperature and water issues. Julius, one of our foremen, and his crew showed up ready to repair this crawl space on installation day! The crew started by removing the old fiber glass insulation and any other debris that shouldn't be in the space. Then they laid our drainage matting over the dirt floor to let water flow under and out of the space instead of pooling inside of it. The crew used our SilverGlo wall insulation to regulate the temperature of the crawl space, which is a much cleaner and more effective option than fiber glass. Then they fully encapsulated the crawl space with CleanSpace which is a strong and protective vapor barrier. During the inspection, Nick had carefully measured the crawl space to ensure that the CleanSpace vapor barrier would fit perfectly, as seen in the Before & After images. The crew also installed our SmartSump crawl space sump pump to keep the space dry and clean. Lastly, they set up our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep humidity in the crawl space low and it drains right into the SmartSump. With the crawl space now protected by our products, the homeowner is even happier about their new home!

The SilverGlo went into the wall to act as insulation, but also a reflective heat barrier for the basement! Then the CleanSpace provides a strong layer of polyethylene to keep moisture out.

This crawlspace in Scituate, MA was very wet! The fiberglass insulation was soaked through and through, it looked like melted cotton candy on the crawlspace floor.
