Quinn's concerns about her foundation support were growing. The wooden support posts in her basement were rotting. She called Ayers for our foundation repair options. We sent a team to her home for a free inspection to determine the appropriate repair option. SmartJacks are the right solution for Quinn's basement. SmartJacks provide supplemental column support. We installed this system by attaching steel support beams to the floor joists and a sturdy base in the subfloor. The steel columns are adjusted to raise the floors to a level position. This customer contacted us because they had a couple walls in their basement that were bowing. We all know bowing walls probably aren't a good sign and we wanted to get this taken care of as soon as possible. We offer many different solutions for foundation walls depending on the area outside your home, the results you are expecting, and how bad the wall is. 

For this home we were able to install our PowerBrace system on one of the walls. PowerBraces are a great option because they allow the wall to be straightened over time as the system can be tightened as the wall moves back to it's desired position. This system has a very noninvasive isntall and will not disturb the lawn or anything outside the home. These also usually take less than a day to install, so it's a great option and gets the job done.

We received a call from a concerned homeowner in Frankenmuth, MI who was dealing with a cracked foundation wall. This bowing block foundation wall needed a permanent fix, so we sent a crew for an inspection. Our System Design Specialists concluded from this inspection that CarbonArmor would prevent further wall bowing. CarbonArmor is made of carbon fiber straps that we strap to the wall to keep it from moving any further. These straps are ten times stronger than steel and are adhered to the wall using a strong epoxy resin. The system is secured to the wall with steel brackets, preventing the wall from shifting and cracking again!

Shelly was concerned with the structural integrity of the support beams in her basement. She decided to stop putting this issue to the side and called Ayers. Our crew inspected the area and recommended SmartJacks as a solution. This support system will replace the weak wood beams. These steel columns rest on a sturdy base in the subfloor and attach to the floor joists above. This solution is permanent and easily adjustable for better accuracy over time. Kort noticed the corner of their garage was heaving, noticing water entering through a gap. Wanting the safest and fastest solution they contacted Ayers. Our resident foreman Blade was able to inspect the area and noticed other signs that the foundation was not properly supporting the house. Blade and his team installed Helical Piers around the home to reintroduce foundational support.

Helical Piers are a tool trusted by Ayers due to their non-intrusive nature compared to other foundational repair systems. The piers are long screw-shaped drives that are driven deep under the home at an angle. The drives keep going till they pass the weak soil and find new firm ground. The tops of the piers are capped with load-bearing caps that provide a flat surface for the home to rest upon.
