Chester's basement was literally being supported by a stack of cinder blocks. The steel girders that make up the foundation of his home was sitting on a stack of dangerous blocks.  If those blocks were to slip his house could potentially cave into his home.

To fix this our team installed SmartJacks to replace the the cinder blocks. SmartJacks are steel beams placed in small hole filled with ebbles for extra support. Each jack can hold up to 60,000 lbs and they are the only permanent solution to foundation support issues.

This home in Cheboygan had that exact problem and we knew the exact discrete way to fix it. We fixed the issue with CarbonArmor. These engineered straps made for basements are 10 times stronger than steel. Carbon Armor is a perfect option for masonry walls, and if we are installing within tight spaces. Since we don't have to drill anything into the wall, this would be a great option for a homeowner in a tight neighborhood, or someone that has obstacles such as electrical or plumbing lines. Also, since Carbon Armor is so flexible it can handle any wall experiencing failure, and still allow for re-stabilization. This system will only be installed if the wall is bowing only in the middle and not the bottom and top. Carbon Armor also has an Armor Lock anchor system. This engineered system will ensure that the wall will not experience any inward movement at the top of the wall. Now the homeowner will never have to worry about bad foundation walls ever again.

Have you walked thought the house and heard the floor boards squeak? We hear about this all of the time. One customer in Harbor Springs had the same issue. When we came to his home to see the problem for ourselves we noticed that the problem didn't lye with the floor, but the problem was due to the support of the floor (in the crawlspace). The support of the floor was done by pieces of wood, which is not safe for the foundation. We fixed that issue by installing our SmartJack technology. The SmartJack is a support system used to stabilize and level the floor joists in a crawl space. This system can support up to 60,000 pounds. The SmartJack system is placed on strong concrete fillings that have replaced the soil in that small location underneath the SmartJack. Lawrence and Susan were feeling as if their home was being split in half because both ends of the home were sinking. The sinking was causing cracks in the basement walls and some cracks in the drywall on the main floor as well. The call from this Stockbridge, MI customer came after they noticed their kitchen, hallway, and bathroom floor were sloping. After a little bit of thinking, they realized that this entire area was directly above their crawl space. Leading them to the conclusion, that there must be a problem with it. Sagging floors are a common foundation problem, so we have a system that offers a permanent solution, the SmartJack system. The steel beams attached to the SmartJack system in the after photo are support beams that allow only a few jacks to lift the entire sagging floor. Also seen in the after photo is Froth Pak foam. The foam will prevent any air or water from entering through the gaps where the floor joist and walls separate. These customers can now walk around without fear of sliding down the hall.
