Grimy Lakeside, MI Crawlspace Gets a Complete Waterproofing Makeover

James M's crawlspace was riddled with waterproofing issues which contributed to ongoing flooding in his basement. At one point, he noticed at least six inches of water accumulated in one corner of the crawlspace. Water leaking into a basement crawlspace will find a home either in your walls, evaporating into your home in the form of water vapor, and could cause mold and rot if not removed.

Our system design speciaist Jim designed a waterproofing solution for James' crawlspace that will give him peace of mind when the rains comes again. We replaced James' two faulty sump pumps with our TripleSafe sump pump system with three levels of protection.

To prevent water from entering through the concrete and floor in the form of water vapor, we installed a CleanSpace plastic liner designed to permanently keep away any moisture and cold air. We placed it over the walls and floor of his crawlspace which will now block anything outside of it. CleanSpace is extremely durable and even comes with a mold-resistant additive called UltraFresh.

TripleSafe in Lakeside, MI

The homeowners had water coming into their basement from their crawlspace. Water was pooling in their crawlspace and seeping into their home. The homeowner did not have a sump pump so standing water had started to accumulate in the basement.

Our professional team installed the TripleSafe sump pump in order to combat this standing water. The TripleSafe sump pump is great because it has three sump pumps in one, giving you triple protection. The first pump will remove water from your home efficiently and effectively. The second pump is more powerful and has a separate discharge line. The second pump is there for you on the rare occasions that the first pump fails. The third pump is equipped with batteries so it is there for you if the power goes out. The triple safe sump pump is the best option because it adjusts automatically when needed and keeps your basement dry with triple protection.

TripleSafe Sump Pump Installed in Lakeside, MI Crawl Space

This home is a summer home for the owners but every summer they have problems with a damp crawl space and that gives off a mildew smell. They also said with the damp crawl space they have noticed mold growth. No one wants mold in their house, it can cause health issues, is horrible for resale and it looks awful.

The crawl space had a sump pump but it wasn't doing its job. Our team installed CleanSpace to encapsulate the space and a new sump pump. The pump installed is the King of all sump pumps, the TripleSafe. This sump pump has 3 pumps in the one liner. It also has a cover so the water that gets in stays in and isn't evaporated back into the crawl space, leaving it wet.

Water Removed by WaterGuard in Bridgman, MI, Basement

Following the storm, Brian realized water flooded into his basement. He knew the standing water couldn't stay, so he called Ayers for assistance. We sent our professionals to his house, who recommended WaterGuard, a drainage piping system designed to be placed on top of the footing rather than alongside it. This prevents drainage pipe clogging by catching water and avoiding soil. Brian loves having a dry basement!

TripleSafe and UltraSump 4 System Saves Basement in Bridgman, MI

Patrick was having trouble with water leaking in his basement and decided he needed to get this repeated issue he was having checked out. After calling Ayers out for inspection, our crew determined his basement could use our TripleSafe Sump Pump System along with our UltraSump 4 Battery Backup Sump Pump System.

The TripleSafe consists of three sump pumps that fit in one liner. The primary pump does the main job of keeping water out. The second pump is there in case the other fails. Lastly, if there is a power outage, this is where the need for the UltraSump comes in. This is a great system to have in the event your sump pump stops working, as it gives additional protection against water damage if your primary sump pump fails. It has an automatic switch that turns on the battery-operated pump if water rises above the AC pump operating range. This system can remove up to 12,000 gallons of water with a fully charged battery. An alarm is even in place if the backup pump turns on.

Patrick is now content with this new system in place, keeping his basement dry!
