Larry's daughter and granddaughter were moving in with him. He wanted to make sure they had a safe place to stay and decided to finished his basement. As a result, he wanted an Egress window installed. The basement bedroom codes require that there are two exits out of the basement, being the door and the window, and unfortunately people can't fit through those small submarine windows. Egress windows are energy efficient and mildew-resistant.

Larry wanted to transform his basement into a bedroom and decided to have an egress window installed. He wanted to make sure his family was safe and in the case of an emergency, according to building codes, there needs to be two exits available for use. Mike had a water issue in his basement and wanted it fixed. The water was coming in where the wall met the floor so we installed the WaterGuard. The WaterGuard is a French drain system that is installed under the floor but above the foundation so that it won't clog in 'mud zone.' It collects the water that seeps into the basement through the walls and drains it to the sump pump. The WaterGuard installs quickly and is the ideal choice for waterproofing.

The homeowners in Wyoming, MI had water flooding into their basement. Their basement was finished and the water was damaging everything it touched. 

Our team decided to install the WaterGuard long lasting interior perimeter drainage system to combat this flooding water. The system sits on the top of the footing in the basement in order to prevent clogging from mud or other debris. The system works by capturing floor and wall seepage before it has time to damage the basement. Once the water is trapped in the drain it is immediately taken to the sump pump. Once it gets to the sump pump the water will be removed from the home ensuring that you have a dry basement!

Mike has a partially finished basement that has water leaking where the floor and wall meet. He is looking to put the home up for sale so he needed the water issue fixed.
