To stop further water leakage in this Potterville resident's basemnet, he called Ayers. Our team installed our specialized WaterGuard system to resolve the issue. WaterGuard is a drain system that sits below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, catching water that runs through basement walls. After catching this water, WaterGuard then filters the water into a sump pump. This system creates usable space that is free of water.

When these homeowners purchased their Potterville, MI home they thought that the basement water issues had been solved, at least, that’s what they were told. 3 years later, the walls were still leaking and the sump pump that came with the home couldn’t keep up. One of those pumps will kick in if the original has too much to deal with and the other turns on in the event of a power failure. The two different discharge lines coming out of the TripleSafe make it possible for the sump to push out water through different pumps without overflowing or back loading the system. This home now has the type of protection it was assured of 3 years before.

First, our subfloor drainage system, called WaterGuard, collects water leaking through the walls and reroutes it to the sump pump. The specially designed piping is installed along the perimeter of the basement below the walls and is covered by pouring fresh concrete over the top. Lastly, we added our three-pump system TripleSafe. Each pump lives in one durable liner and handles the water intrusion by directing the water outside the home. The third pump has a battery pack to ensure it runs during power outages. Trevor's worries about water damage in his basement are gone!

This lakefront cottage's Michigan basement had foundation issues, including water infiltration in one corner, likely due to the artesian well constantly flowing. The basement also had a sagging floor that required additional support, particularly in areas with pipes and structural stress. To fix these issues, Ayers reinforced the basement with rebar and other structural supports to handle water leakage and improve the foundation. A supplemental beam and SmartJacks were added to lift and stabilize the sagging floor. The water issues, possibly from the well and leaking pipes, were addressed by improving drainage and sealing the affected areas, ensuring the space stays dry and the foundation is secure.
