After years of worrying about his aging foundation and leaky cistern, Travis called Ayers for help. With SmartJack® supports and a new steel beam, we stabilized his Eaton Rapids farmhouse—giving him peace of mind and a solid foundation for future projects.

Ayers Stabilizes and Waterproofs 127-Year-Old Alden, MI Victorian Home

Jack and Patti’s 127 Victorian home had very little water coming in from the crawl space, but Jack wanted to make sure his home was still stable given its age. The couple called Ayers for an inspection, and our crew determined that their foundation would need lots of work. We installed SmartJacks, CleanSpace, and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier.

SmartJacks are steel supports that balance the foundation of the crawlspace, lifting it to its original position. They can be adjusted so the home will never shift out of place and are anchored into the ground with poured concrete. CleanSpace Wall System is a moisture barrier that uses a thick plastic liner along basement and crawl space walls to keep them dry and last decades longer. It also has antibacterial properties that prevent mold and bacteria growth.  Damp air takes more energy to heat and cool. Cutting down on the moisture in the crawl space, in turn, will cut down on how much it costs to heat or cool the home. Finally, the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier automatically removes up to 100 pints of water a day from the air in the home’s basement. This system circulates the now dry air through the basement and automatically removes the leftover water so you don’t have to.

Jack and Patti were absolutely thrilled with the service Ayers provided. The couple could not be happier with the work done and products installed!

CleanSpace Dries Out an Ellsworth, MI Crawl Space

When your damp crawl space causes mildew to grow around the rest of the house, it’s probably time to intervene. That was this Ellsworth, MI home’s problem and the reason they sought out our help. You can see in the before photo just how messy the crawl space was and what the moisture was doing to it. The wet conditions of the crawl space had resulted in damage to the insulation and an ongoing battle with mold. All of that changed when the CleanSpace system was introduced. The plastic vapor barrier keeps out moisture and won’t allow mold growth. Not pictured, but also installed and helping with the battle against moisture is the crawl space dehumidifier Sanidry CX. So not only will the crawl space look dry, it will feel like it too.

Saving a 1900 Osseo Home

Angela just bought a home that was built in 1900 that had some obvious damage. She called Ayers for an inspection after another company told her to tear her entire home down. We immediately saw that the living room floors were caving in, the floorboards were coming apart, and water was flooding the basement. We installed SmartJacks, TripleSafe sump pump, CleanSpace Wall System, and SaniDry dehumidifier. SmartJacks are steel supports to balance the foundation of your crawlspace, lifting it to its original position. They can also be adjusted so your home will never shift out of place. The combination of our TripleSafe sump pump, CleanSpace Wall System, and SaniDry dehumidifier will keep your basement dry for years to come. The TripleSafe sump pump utilizes three pumps in order to remove excess water from your basement. The second and third pumps are in case of emergencies so your basement can remain dry, even when the power goes out. CleanSpace Wall System uses a thick plastic liner along basement walls that directs access water toward the sump pump. The SaniDry dehumidifier automatically removes up to 100 pints of water a day from the air in your basement. This system circulates the now dry air through your basement and automatically removes the leftover water so you dont have to. Angela didn't have to demolish her home and can remain safe and dry for years to come.

WaterGuard System Keeps Problem Area Dry in Sumner, MI

Our crew headed to a homeowner in Sumner, Michigan, to install a waterproofing system. Larry's basement had a problem corner where water would creep in. We agreed to install our WaterGuard solution. This interior drainage system is placed along the basement's perimeter to collect water leaks. The drain is concealed with concrete to ensure it blends with the rest of the floor. Any leaks will then get redirected to the sump pump. Larry is glad his worries about water damage are gone!
