Before & After Photos

Bob knew he had water problems in his basement but wasn't sure how to fix it. After the last storm, water leaked onto the floor and pooled in the middle. He couldn't tolerate standing water, so he called Ayers for help. A team of experts stopped by his home and recommended installing the TripleSafe sump pump. TripleSafe consists of three pumps: a primary, a backup, and a battery-powered pump for power outages. Bob is relieved to have a dry basement!

The basement in the before photo had just been redone to stop water from leaking into the finished area. The owners wanted to complete the repairs by giving the basement a window that would highlight the finished features. As you can see in the before photo, the old window was barely visible from the outside and certainly didn’t offer a lot of sunlight on the inside. The window in the after photo is our egress replacement window. Our crew had to excavate the soil to make room for the window and its accompanying well. The larger window will allow more light to enter the basement while the well protects it from water and the elements, so leaks like before won't happen again. Note: the soil around the well was filled back in before the installation was completed.

WaterGuard is a subfloor drain installed along the perimeter of the basement below the walls. This solution collects the water and directs it to the sump pump. Concrete is poured over the drainage system, concealing it into the floor. We replaced his old sump pump with TripleSafe as this three-pump solution is much more efficient. The first pump will eliminate most of the water, the second is there for backup, and the final pump is battery-operated for power outages. Terry is pleased with the finished results that leave his home well-protected!
