Our team installed CleanSpace in Eddie's crawl space in order to completely seal it off from the rest of his home. CleanSpace is a plastic sheet material used as a vapor barrier to restrict all moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space. Not only does this system create an energy-efficient crawl space, but it also gives your crawl space a clean finish. This material will be applied to your floors and walls to create a sleek look and an uninterrupted barrier.

Derrick just recently purchased a property in Saugatuck and he noticed that the yard kept flooding. He knew he had to make sure his crawl space was protected from the moisture. He called our team and amongst a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, a TripleSafe sump pump, and IceGuard, we installed CleanSpace. CleanSpace is an uninterrupted vapor barrier designed to keep out any unwanted pests, moisture, and mold. This barrier restricts airflow and therefore makes controlling the temperature of the home much easier. CleanSpace is applied to the floors and walls and wrapped around pillars and piers carefully to ensure that the space looks clean and refreshed. Now that his space is waterproofed and encapsulated, he can enjoy it without worrying about potential flooding and current moisture. 

Paul took out the hot tub that was in his 3 season room and found  mold so he is restructuring the whole thing. While he took apart the flooring, he found a small crawl space underneath that he wanted encapsulated. Drainage Matting was first. It has raised dimples in it to direct any water to the sump pump. Then we installed the SuperSump Plus which keeps the space dry for long periods of time. We then installed CleanSpace Vapor Barrier which keeps out humidity, pests, and water vapor. You protect the structure from mold and rot. when you keep the space dry so to make sure it stays dry we also installed the SaniDry XP dehumidifier. The dehumidifier blows dry air throughout the area to keep it dry as well as filters the air for mold spores and other small particles.

When a potential buyer asked if there was anything that could be done about this Edwardsburg, MI crawl space, the current owner and real estate agent called us out for help. The dirt floor in the before picture makes for an easy passageway for moisture to enter the crawl space and cause problems. However, the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier that was installed would put a stop to that. The CleanSpace barrier, seen in the after photo, is impenetrable by moisture or vapor. It’s the type of long lasting encapsulation that future owners know they can depend on. And if the vapor barrier wasn’t enough on its own, CleanSpace wasn’t the only thing added to the home. The yellow lid in the after photo is our SmartSump. Our SmartSump system is a sump pump designed specifically for crawl spaces that will discharge any water that does enter for maximum crawl space protection. Whoever ends up buying this home will be lucky enough to also receive a full crawl space encapsulation system.

When these Montague, MI started noticing a musty smell coming from their crawl space, they knew they needed an encapsulation. That musty smell usually comes from moisture and humidity in the crawl space. Dirt floors (like the one seen in the before photo) allow vapor and heat to rise up and into the crawl space. Luckily for the owners, the CleanSpace system in the after photo is a complete vapor barrier that won’t allow moisture to pass through. The full encapsulation also covered the walls, just in case water was leaking through them as well. With the inclusion of a Sanidry CX Dehumidifier, there shouldn’t be any more trouble for this crawl space.
