Water kept entering a customer’s crawl space, so he called our team for help. We installed CleanSpace, a plastic sheet material used as a vapor barrier to restrict all moisture, outside air, and pests from entering your crawl space. This system creates an energy-efficient crawl space, and it also gives your crawl space a clean finish. This material is applied to the floors and walls to create a sleek look and an uninterrupted barrier.

Occasional water and musty smells appeared in Lonne and Mary's crawl space. So they called our team and we installed CleanSpace. CleanSpace is an uninterrupted vapor barrier. A homeowner in Richland Michigan needed help waterproofing her basement because she kept noticing water collecting inside of it. She gave us a call so she could receive our professional help. We drove to her house to give her a free estimate and noticed the crawl was not properly insulated from the outside environment. To fix that we installed our advanced CleanSpace technology. CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick plastic liner that fits to the crawl space to completely seal the home from the earth. Polyester cord reinforcement allows for a lot of durability, to make it last longer than the home will. This liner also contains an antimicrobial additive to prevent mold. Now this homeowner will not have to worry about a wet crawl space ever again.

Donna attempted to fix her crawl space moisture issues by herself with a tarp she bought from the store. She quickly realized this tarp would not hold up well in the long run. It started collecting dirt and moisture, so she called Ayers for our crawl space solutions. Our system design specialists inspected the area and concluded CleanSpace would do the trick. CleanSpace prevents water vapor from entering through the soil and crawl space walls. Before installing the airtight plastic liner, we place our drainage matting on the floor. The dimpled mat allows water to flow under the liner to a sump pump in the crawl space floor. The antimicrobial liner prevents the growth of mold or bacteria. The customer called because their crawl space had all of the usual problems - smelly, damp, making the floors above it cold - but they were concerned that it was too small to really be able to fix it.

While it's true that the access point and crawl space were only about two feet high, that's plenty of room for us! Just make sure to let us know in advance and we will send one of our smaller guys. It was no problem to install the CleanSpace vapor barrier system and we even put a new, better door on the crawl space.
