Joseph worried when he found excess water, moisture, and mold in his basement. He recently noticed a musty smell and assumed it was a dead mouse, but upon further examination, he knew the basement needed to be dried out. They recommended installing the CleanSpace vapor barrier to eliminate moisture and prevent mold growth. Our friends from Leland, MI were experiencing significant moisture issues in their crawlspace. They began noticing mold growth and rotting of the wood beams below their home. Michael & Sarah saw an Ayers Basement Systems commercial on TV and gave us a call! After assessing and diagnosing their crawlspace needs, we recommended installing our patented CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system to address the current issues being faced in the crawlspace. Michael & Sarah agreed with the effectiveness of our solution and we installed our patented CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system in their crawlspace. The CleanSpace encapsulation product is a 20mm thick plastic lining that entirely seals off the crawl space from the harsh elements it faces below. From this point on, the days of worry and uncertainty were over. With the CleanSpace encapsulation system in place, we were able to turn this wet crawlspace into healthy and dry usable space.

Michigan is a harsh place to live for both people and houses.  Freezing winters filled with snow mixed with hot and humid summers due to the many lakes make it difficult for all of us.  It is important for both health, and monetary benefits to keep your home's insulation as up to date as possible.

At Ayers Basement Systems, we recommend upgrading existing crawlspaces with two products: CleanSpace and SilverGlo.  CleanSpace is a white vapor barrier that protects the house from invasive humidity and temperatures from the ground.  SilverGlo (not pictured) goes on the wall to further insulate the crawlspace.  With the addition of a sump pump, these upgrades will help to save money, reduce cold temperatures, and eliminate any organisms growing under our houses such as mold or dust mites. 

You wouldn't leave any other room in your home covered in trash and water so why accept that your crawl space has to? Our Clean Space liner is a thick, durable liner, similar to that of a pool liner, that traps moisture, mold and pests from permeating your crawl space floor. By limiting these factors, your crawl space will remain clean, dry and mold free. 

Tom was hoping to get his old farmhouse in Belding, MI fixed up, starting with his crawl space. He discovered Ayers has solutions for his crawl space so he gave us a call. We sent out a crew and our System Design Specialists determined he would need our CleanSpace and Drainage Matting solution. 

Before we could install CleanSpace we first laid down our Drainage Matting. This is a raised, dimpled mat that catches any water intrusion and will direct the flow to your drain and sump system. Next we installed CleanSpace which is a thick, durable plastic liner with a vapor barrier property that protects against excess water and moisture. This is much more durable than a regular tarp from the store as it is waterproof and antimicrobial which means it will protect against nasty mold development. 

Tom was ecstatic to tackle these issues in his farmhouse with a permanent solution!
