Mike and Denise, owners of a beautifully maintained 180-year-old home in Concord, MI, wanted to improve the condition of their crawl space, which had long been a source of frustration due to its unpleasant environment. They contacted Ayers Basement Systems and we created a custom solution including spray foam insulation, dimple board for drainage, TerraBlock™ for added insulation, and CleanSpace® vapor barrier for full encapsulation. Our crew executed the project with precision and professionalism, transforming the crawl space into a clean, dry, and energy-efficient area. Mike and Denise were thrilled with the results, noting the crew's respectful approach and the significant improvement to their historic home.

Pat and Arden are retiring in their forever home but they have recently noticed it is hard to breathe the air in the home and they are worried it is mold. Upon inspection, not only did we have the perfect solution to their mold problem, but we found that their floors were not properly supported. To support the floors, we installed SmartJacks which will keep them level. To address the other issue, we started with CleanSpace Crawl Space Vapor Barrier which is a thick and durable waterproof liner. It prevents humidity, water vapor, and pests from entering the space. We also installed the SaniDry Sedona which dries out the space by blowing dry air throughout. 

This crawl space was seeing some moisture periodically so the homeowner was hoping to get the space encapsulated in order to protect against mold, rot, and variety of other potential problems down the road. We were able to help with just that, installing our CleanSpace vapor barrier throughout. This 20mil material is incredibly strong and difficult to tear, making it incredibly reliable. We also installed SilverGlo insulation the wall to increase energy efficiency spray foam in the rim joists to eliminate common entry points for moisture and humid air. Finally, we covered the vents with air tight vent covers eliminating a final access point for moisture and humidity. This crawl space should now be warmer, dryer, brighter, and safter in the years to come. 

Doug was tired of dealing with the musty odor coming from his dirty crawl space that was not sealed properly so he called Ayers hoping for a permanent fix. We had a crew come to his home for an inspection and from there it was concluded he needed CleanSpace. This is a thick, durable plastic liner that will cover his crawl space floor and walls protecting it from excess moisture and water. This excess moisture can build up and cause mold or bacteria to flourish. We also add a Drainage Matting which is a dimpled mat placed under the liner that will catch water and direct the flow to his drain and sump pump system.

This customer contacted us because the rooms above his crawl space were cold and so he wanted to insulate the crawl space to help this problem. By insulating the crawl space it will also help to reduce energy costs in the future. With the SilverGlo insulation, we also installed our CleanSpace system to encapsulate the crawl space so no water or other outside elements can get in.
