Melvin noticed mold growth in his crawl space and knew he needed to do something about it. He wasn't sure how serious of an issue it was but knew mold causes damage, so he called Ayers for help. Our specialists visited his home and suggested installing CleanSpace, an antimicrobial-lined material that acts as a vapor barrier. CleanSpace encapsulates the entire crawl space to prevent moisture entry and eliminate mold growth. Melvin feels more relaxed without mold growing under his home!

Using CleanSpace, we were able to provide our customer with a barrier separating the ground from the home.  Crawl spaces with dirt or concrete do a poor job of stopping humidity from entering houses.  With CleanSpace, we have made a vapor barrier allowing for the house to be protected from humidity that can cause problems like mold and dust mites that can have serious consequences.  

Our customer inherited a house and immediately noticed a musty smell. She suspected the crawl space was the culprit, and she was correct.

We used CleanSpace vapor barrier and drainage matting to encapsulate the crawl space and protect it from the dirt floor and everything (like water) that comes with it. We also installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to control the ambient moisture.

The customer originally called about a window replacement, but when we asked him if there were any water issues resulting from the existing window, he said that the crawl space did seem damp. 

In addition to replacing the window in the Michigan basement, we did an encapsulation with CleanSpace to prevent ambient moisture from entering through the crawl space and insulted the joists in the ceiling.
