John and his wife’s retirement home in Luzerne, MI, nestled in the peaceful Huron National Forest, needed a crawl space upgrade. John wanted to seal off the area for long-term peace of mind and make it safe and usable for storage, so his wife would feel comfortable accessing it if needed. Our team installed a durable underlayment (drainage matting) to manage incoming moisture, followed by a crawl space sump pump system (SmartSump®) to collect and remove moisture intrusion. We sealed the space with a thick, moisture-blocking liner (CleanSpace® vapor barrier) to finish the job, creating a dry, clean, and accessible area. Now, John and his wife can enjoy retirement knowing their crawl space is protected and usable for years to come.

A customer from Afton Michigan gave us a call referring to her crawlspace that was wet and smelly. We drove to her house to take a look for ourselves and figured out the best solution to waterproof this crawlspace would be to use our CleanSpace technology.  CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick plastic liner that fits to the crawl space to completely seal the home from the earth. Polyester cord reinforcement allows for a lot of durability, to make it last longer than the home will. This liner also contains an antimicrobial additive to prevent mold. With CleanSpace, this Afton homeowner will no longer need to worry about her crawlspace.

Brian realized the support beams underneath his home were decaying from rapid mold growth. He knew this must be fixed, so he called Ayers for help. We sent a crew of experts to examine the issue and recommend a solution. The TripleSafe Sump Pump utilizes three pumps in order to remove excess water from the basement or crawlspace. the second and third pumps are in case of emergencies so the basement can remain dry, even when the power goes out.
