Missy and Dan L. contacted us because they had unstable joists in their home that needed added support to eliminate sagging floors above. The block foundation wall in the basement was cracked and unstable, which was causing the floor joists to weaken and sag. We installed the PowerBrace system to stabilize the wall and support the joists. Steel I-beams that stretched the length of the wall were installed in the floor at the base of the wall and then attached to the joists above the wall. Once the system was secured into place with steel brackets, the beams acted as braces to hold the wall in place while potentially shifting it back to its proper position over time.

Pam K. of Dewitt, MI had a crack in her basement wall that was causing the foundation to slant. This creates a serious issue for the structural integrity of the home and Pam needed a solution. Good thing for her, we had one.

We installed our PowerBrace foundation wall repair system. The PowerBrace system is a wall repair system that stabilizes tilting, bucking, cracked or bowing foundation walls. PowerBrace uses steel I-beams that attached to the joists above the wall to provide maximum support. And even better, the system can be tighter over time to eventually bring your basement wall back to near its original position.

We were contacted for this job because the real estate agent had used us before for another water problem. She said it really helped the sale of the house and thinks it will help again. This house had a very severe bowing wall that needed the attention of professionals. 

We were able to install our PowerBraces to help fix this wall and return it to its original position over time. PowerBraces are made of steel and zinc coated so they won't rust. They can be tightened as the wall moves which is what allows the wall to go back to its original position. PowerBraces are a good option if you don't have room on the outside of your home for excavation. 

Rich and Cecelia have lived in their home for 47 years and want to spend the rest of their lives there. The foundation was made of old stone and the walls were crumbling around them. Moisture and standing water were a given after any rainstorm. After an initial inspection our crew determined that Shotcrete would be the perfect solution to their problem. Shotcrete is a sprayable concrete that stabilizes basement walls and fills any holes that let in unwanted water or air. It's applied though a high-pressure hose. The extra air propelling the concrete out is what makes the Shotcrete able to be applied to vertical and sloping services. Rich and Cecelia were beyond grateful for our efforts in making sure their home is safe for them for their rest of their lives. 

This home was built in the 1940s and in recent years one of the basement walls had begun to develop a crack and bow about a half inch. To prevent further bowing and ensure that the wall will continue to hold for several years into the future we installed a series of CarbonArmor straps both horizontally and vertically. These CarbonAmor straps are fully epoxied and are stronger than cement and 10 times stronger than steel. The epoxy on these straps is a syrup-like consistency that penetrates deep into the pores of the wall to ensure a secure bond with the wall. When it comes to preventing any further bowing, these straps are incredibly reliable.
