Jack and Marie R. of Cornell, WI had bowing walls near the staircase going into their basement. This made them worry about the structural support of their house. Chuck inspected Jack and Marie's foundation, proposed the solution of our Wall Anchor System, and answered all of their questions. After a thorough inspection and discussion, Jack and Marie decided to move forward with the project.

James from Stanley, MN got in contact with us when he began to notice the walls of his shed were beginning to show signs of cracking, indicating wall failure. He was afraid that if he left the issue unresolved, he would face more serious wall failure down the road or water intrusion from the cracks. We set him up with our FREE estimate when he called our office. A few weeks after the appointment was set, our Design Specialist, Chuck, headed out to the property to see what could be done to help fix the issue. Once he completed his walkthrough, he had a few recommendations. First, he wanted to use our Geo-Lock Channel Anchors and GeoLock Anchors to fix the cracking wall. Our Foreman, Raul, and his production team installed our GeoLock Wall Anchors, which is a special system that stabilizes foundation walls, providing it with the ability to straighten to its normal position. Because of the way it is designed, anchors can be installed on interior and exterior foundation walls. Each anchor is connected by a long, steel rod to a wall plate that gives the clamping pressure against the inside of the foundation wall. Over time, homeowners can tighten the anchors to ensure the system is sticking to its trusted design. The installation typically takes one to two days and can be installed year-round!

Once he concluded his estimate, he met with the homeowner, explaining that the bowing could be from various factors. However, he had the solution. He wanted to use our CarbonArmor reinforcement system to address the bowing wall. He explained that CarbonArmor can help reinforce your bowing walls and repair cracks. They are made from fiber-reinforced polymer that's 10x stronger than steel and is specifically designed to reinforce and stabilize basement walls. While this system will not restore the wall to its original plumb state, it will halt further movement and cracks, and because the straps don't protrude on the wall like other solutions, the repair can easily be covered with mortar, paint, or light wall panels.
