Radon Mitigation System Secured in Grafton, ND
A homeowner in Grafton, ND, read an article discussing radon and its harmful effects on people. Radon is an odorless, tasteless, and invisible gas that is the second leading cause of lung cancer. Worried about their home's levels, the homeowner began looking into "radon gas experts". One of the first companies to grab their attention was us, American Waterworks. Impressed with our stellar ratings and reviews, the homeowner knew that we were the ideal company for their project. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Derek. A few weeks later, Derek promptly arrived at the home and started his thorough inspection. Derek began by starting a radon test. While the radon test was being completed, Derek began searching for the best place to install the Radon Mitigation System. After the test was completed, it confirmed that the levels were alarmingly high. Derek recommended installing a Radon Mitigation System on the south side of the home. Knowing this was the best plan of action, the homeowner decided to go ahead with Derek's proposal. Next, Derek sent the proposal to our Logisitics team to give the final stamp of approval. Once the plans were approved, our Logisitics team assigned the project to our Radon Sales & Service Technician, Jackson. The following month, Jackson traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, Jackson started by prepping the items for installation. Once the items were ready, Jackson installed the Radon Mitigation System outside the home. Once the Radon Mitigation System was secured, Jackson cleaned up his materials and left the home. The homeowner was impressed with the excellent work completed by Jackson, so they left a five-star review. American Waterworks is delighted to assist its homeowners in eliminating their radon issue.

Our Foreman, Brian Colliton, and his production crew started the installation by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System. Our WaterGuard is a patented below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, its easy-to-access service ports, and its ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. To complete the WaterGuard project, Brian and his team covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. Are you having water problems in your basement?
