The homeowner decided it was time to fix the issue, so he took to the internet and searched "leaky basement repairs near me". During his deep dive into local businesses, he came across our website. A few weeks later, one of our Design Specialists headed out to the home to see what could be done. 

Once our Design Specialist completed his inspection, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. First, our Design Specialist recommended the use of our CleanSpace. He explained that CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that's perfect for unfinished basement walls. CleanSpace installs quickly, with most installations taking a day or less. Once the installation is complete, your basement will be ready to use immediately. He explained that this system works to trap water entering through the walls, directing it downward to a perimeter drain, which in this case, our Design Specialist recommended to be our WaterGuard drain. This French drain is designed to be installed below the floor slab, resting on top of the foundation footing. This keeps this drainage system out of the "mud zone", where drains can clog. Installation involves removing a section of floor around the perimeter and creating a drainage trench. Sections of WaterGuard® are then placed within the trench, resting on a bed of drainage stone, and the floor is restored. This drain works to catch water entering from the CleanSpace above, as well as any water coming up through cracks in the floor. It gives this water a channel to flow to the appropriate disposal site, which in this case, is a previously placed sump pump. The homeowner liked the sound of our Design Specialist's plan and scheduled the work for several weeks later. 

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Edgar C, and his team were able to complete the work in no time. Now, our customer can enjoy his basement knowing his water intrusion issue has been solved!

This vapor barrier is made to prevent mold and mildew, cover any holes or divots, and act as an extra blanket protectant. Lastly, Dylon and his team installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which is the best sump pump we provide for homeowners. It solves all three water problems in one system and provides three different layers of water protection. To complete the installation, our team filled the open floor gaps with river rock and pea gravel and applied new concrete over them.
