A concerned homeowner from Minnetonka, MN, enlisted our services when she suspected that her home was infested with Radon gas, which is incredibly harmful when inhaled for prolonged periods of time. Our Radon Design Specialist went out to the property and set up a Continuous Radon Monitor (CRM) to find out what the levels in the home were. After 48 hours, our Design Specialist returned for the kit and found the levels in the home to be above 4 pCi/L. The Nation Radon Defense recommends homeowners take action to lower the levels if they are above 4. Our Foreman, Geno, scheduled a time for the homeowner to set up a Radon mitigation system that works to expel the Radon out and away from the home. Now this homeowner can have peace of mind knowing that she has taken the right steps towards breathing cleaner and safer air! 

Mr. Abrams' home in Northfield, MN tested high for radon at 20.0 pCi/L. The EPA recommends for homeowners to take corrective action if your radon level is at 4 pCi/L or higher. Our Design Specialist, Michael Radosevich developed a solution to mitigate Mr. Abrams' high level of radon. Foreman Dakota Merchlewitz installed our radon mitigation system and now Mr. Abrams' radon level reads 0.7 pCi/L. He now has peace of mind knowing that he is keeping his home and family safe. 

Alex F. of Minneapolis, MN wanted to get a radon mitigation system installed because his test came back with 6.9 pCi/L. He did his research and found American Waterworks on HomeAdvisor. He got our radon mitigation system installed by our Foreman, Dakota, and his crew member, Geno. Dakota started the installation in the utility room to the garage and through the roof, where the radon was able to escape into the open air. The purpose of the system is to pull radon from underneath the ground and guiding it through the home to the outside of the home so it can escape into the open air. Kyle W. of Minneapolis, MN had a radon level of 4.1 pCi/L. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, 4 pCi/L is the "action level", which means that it needs to be mitigated as soon as possible. Kyle found American Waterworks on HomeAdvisor, so he contacted our office staff and set up a day to get one of our Exterior Radon Mitigation Systems installed. Our Design Specialist, Michel, went to Kyle's home, inspected the exterior of his house, and designed a detailed plan for where to install the system as well as the cost. Kyle was confident in the quote and the design, so he went ahead with the project. 

Our Foremen, Dakota and Geno, installed the system from the inside utility room to the house exterior. The purpose of the mitigation system is to pull radon from underneath the home and expose it into the open air outside of the home. The installation only took a few hours and Kyle was very happy with the work that was completed.
